This week brought the circus into town. If you can believe it, I had never been to a circus before. So I absolutely hopped on this chance to relive my childhood. Err.. I mean it was time to bring my kids go to the circus.
I can't even tell you how excited I was to go to this little one ring circus. I brought my camera to take what I believed were going to be the most impressive pictures I had ever taken in my life. In. My. Life. I had even read about and researched taking photos in low light and with fast moving objects. They were going to be epic. I just know it. I mean I researched people!
Until I pulled out my camera and realized I had left my memory card on my coffee table. A durr.
Trying to make up for my mistake, I took a bunch of pictures with my non- iPhone. Which is not a completely useless picture taking device, just as long as there is enough light it can give a semi-decent picture. But once we got inside the tent every picture was basically black. So no sneak peeks of this circus for you guys!
Oh well. That just means I'll have to go to another circus soon.
Loved every minute of it. I couldn't believe how nervous I was for the trapeze artist. It's very strange witnessing death defying acts live. I found myself covering my mouth with my hands quite often. What an amazing thing to do night after night.
I think I may become a reveur. Like from The Night Circus. (I just finished that book a week ago) Following around the circus all over the world with my red scarf. Maybe when I retire.
